Terms & Conditions
1. Our contract
All bookings are made with KARRKE PTY LTD trading as KARRKE ABORIGINAL CULTURAL EXPERIENCE AND TOURS (ABN 60 601 548 592) (KARRKE). By making a booking with KARRKE you are deemed to have agreed to these booking conditions (which constitutes the entire agreement between you and KARRKE) and your booking will be accepted by KARRKE on this basis. The services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation.
2. Validity
Dates and itineraries are valid until 31 March 2025. Beyond 31 March 2025 dates and itineraries are indicative.
3. Acceptance of booking and final payments
When you make a booking with KARRKE a booking confirmation order will be issued including full costs of order and further details. A contract will exist between KARRKE from the date KARRKE issues a booking confirmation order and invoice.
4. Group Bookings / Private Group Requests
All requests for private group tours will only be effective when KARRKE receives written requests providing KARRKE with a specific day, time, company details and confirmed pax numbers for a private tour.
· Minimum no. of 10 paying passengers and Maximum of 50 paying passengers.
· All group reservations are to be requested in writing to peter.abbott@karrke.com.au
For Group sizes exceeding the maximum 50 pax capacity you will need to plan a 1Hr, 20mins apart per group tour. KARRKE will not be accepting more than 2 coach bus sizes per tour times.
KARRKE we will endeavor to work with distribution partners and companies where reasonably practicable and may refuse requests on reasonable business grounds.
5. NON-OPERATIONAL DAYS
KARRKE cultural tours operates on a 3 days per week i.e., Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with 2 tours per day. Tours will depart from 10:30am and 2:00pm.
KARRKE will not be accepting booking request for Monday and Tuesday.
Special group booking requests for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday will be considered as well as times outside the normal 10:30am and 2pm. KARRKE will need to receive all private requests in writing for these days but will not accept these days to be a request for a full season request. Group tours must be a minimum of 10 paying customers to a maximum of 50 pax on these days.
6. Cancellation by KARRKE
KARRKE tours are guaranteed to depart on time once KARRKE have one fully paid traveller unless minimum group size specifically states otherwise. KARRKE may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to any natural disasters, biosecurity, extreme rain conditions, extreme dust storms, extreme heat conditions or other external events it is not viable for KARRKE to operate the planned itinerary. If KARRKE cancels your tour, KARRKE can offer an alternative date or provide a full refund.
7. COVID Cancellations
KARRKE understands that our world has changed due to covid and there will always be uncertainty around travel. KARRKE has a COVID-safe plan and is compliant with NT Government Health requirements to do what is reasonably to protect your health and safety, our staff and community.
8. Cancellation by the traveller / agent
If you cancel your booking the following cancellation fees will apply. A cancellation will only be effective when KARRKE receives written confirmation of the cancellation on all pre-paid orders.
ALL PRE-PAID BOOKING CHARGES:
No Shows by Customer……NO REFUND
No Shows by booked Agent Travel….10% Refund charge of order.
Within 7 days of the tour………25% Refund charge of order
Within 14 days of the tour…….50% Refund charge of order
Greater than 14 days prior……. FULL REFUND
RESERVED BOOKING CHARGES BY BOOKING AGENTS
No Shows by booking Agent….10% Refund charge applies.
Within 7 days of the tour………25% Refund charge applies.
Within 14 days of the tour…….50% Refund charge applies.
Greater than 14 days prior…….NO CHARGE
9. Booking amendments
If you wish to amend your booking you must notify KARRKE at least 5 days prior to the proposed departure date. If you notify KARRKE less than 5 days prior to the proposed departure date the refund policy applicable at section 7 above cancellations will apply.
10. Concession, Infant & Child rates
Infant & Child
· Infants under four (4) years old travel free of charge.
· Children five (5) years but under eleven (11) years old will be charged at the child rate.
Concessions
· Australian students twelve (12) years but under seventeen (17) years old that are enrolled in accredited secondary or tertiary educations with approved valid student identification card will be charged at the concession rate.
· University / TAFE students eighteen (18) years and over will be charged at the adult rates.
· Elders who are an Australian resident with a nationally recognised Senior’s card, will be charged at the concession rate.
Family Rate
· Family rate applies to 2x adults, 2x Children (any ages above five (5) years and under seventeen (17) years old.
11. No show / late arrivals
Please refer to sections 7, 8 & 9 above regarding cancellation policy.
12. Transfers
Due to the remote location where KARRKE operates KARRKE regrettably do not provide transfers for travellers which are not included in all rates. Travellers will be required to make their own travel arrangement to and from KARRKE Cultural tour site.
13. Change of itinerary
Karrke will endeavour to operate all tours as offered. KARRKE reserve the right to change the tour itinerary. Please refer to sections 6 & 7 above.
BEFORE DEPARTURE: if KARRKE makes a major change, KARRKE will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before departure. The definition of a major change is deemed to be a change affecting at least one day in five of a tour itinerary issued. When a major change is made you may choose between accepting the change, obtaining a refund of money paid of the tour or accepting an alternative tour offered.
14. Claims & complaints
If you or your travellers have a complaint about KARRKE tours, please inform KARRKE asap so KARRKE can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means, then any further complaint should be put in writing to KARRKE within 30 days of the end of the tour.
15. Photos & marketing
KARRKE consents for camera photography to be taking throughout the tour. KARRKE does not grant permission for use of any voice recording or film making of any matter during KARRKE tours.
For all industry promotional purposes requesting filming please email peter.abbott@karrke.com.au prior to booking with KARRKE to discuss your proposed promotional requirements.
KARRKE reserves the right to refuse all specific requests to any or all its cultural sensitivity matters nonrelated to its cultural tours.
16. Privacy policy
KARRKE recognises the importance of protecting your privacy. KARRKE will treat your personal details in accordance with our privacy policy. (available for viewing on our website).
17. Loss or Damage
KARRKE accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage to personal items suffered by your paying passengers on site including the carpark area or during its tour operations.
18. Personal Injuries
KARRKE will not be held responsible for any personal injuries sustained by your paying passengers on the site including the carpark area or during its tour operations.
19. Travel Insurance
KARRKE encourage all paying passengers to purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
